The need for reasonably-priced housing—to buy and to rent—is huge, unmet and growing for many moderate- and low-income families in New Hampshire. The Loan Fund has teamed up with our borrowers and community partners to preserve and create affordable housing in all the towns and cities in the state by supporting a variety of affordable housing initiatives.
Manufactured Housing Park Program provides loans and technical assistance to help homeowners buy and manage their manufactured housing parks as cooperatives; provides home loans for individuals in cooperative parks; and creates new cooperatives in the state.
Community Housing Program provides
loans and technical assistance to help local nonprofit, community-based
organizations to purchase, renovate or build affordable housing.
Home of Your Own offers loans and technical assistance to help individuals with developmental disabilities (or families with a child with a developmental disability), families recovering from homelessness and others to buy their own homes.
Individual Development Accounts assists local organizations to help low-income people save for home ownership, post-secondary education and small business investment through a matched savings program and consumer education.
If you have a project in mind that you feel may be outside our traditional lending areas, or are unsure about whether your project can benefit from the programs described, call the Loan Fund at 603-224-6669 or email info@nhclf.org with questions. For those who are interested and would like more information on purchasing affordable housing in NH, please see our Home Buyers Resource (PDF).
