Awards & Recognition

The New Hampshire Community Loan Fund has been recognized for its work by many regional and national organizations, funding partners, governmental agencies and affiliated nonprofits.

National Awards and Recognition

  • The USDA Rural Development New Hampshire Partner of the Year Award, 2004.

  • National Community Capital Association, Excellence in Financial Performance Award. The Loan Fund was the first recipient of this award, 2000.

  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), A Best Practices Award (for the Home of Your Own Program), 2000.

  • Social Compact, Social Compact Award (joint honoree with Providian Financial), for our partnership promoting increased access to child care in New Hampshire, 1999.

  • National Environmental Education & Training Foundation, ANational Environmental Education Achievement Award, 1998.

  • U.S. Department of the Treasury, Community Development Financial Institutions Program, the first CDFI certified in New Hampshire, 1996

  • Fannie Mae Foundation, Finalist for Award of Excellence for Low-Income Housing Production, 1990.

Regional and State Recognition

  • The 2004 Concord Area Trust for Community Housing Affordable Housing Champion (awarded to the Loan Fund President Juliana Eades).

  • Citizens Bank and WMUR-TV "Community Champions" Award to MicroCredit-NH, 2002.

  • NH Governor Jeanne Shaheen, declared June 4, 2001 Microenterprise Day in honor of the state’s smallest businesses and gave a citation to MicroCredit-NH’s outgoing director, Elizabeth Lisk, for her work elevating the position of microenterprises in the state, 2001.

  • Concord Area Trust for Community Housing, Affordable Housing Award, given on the occasion of CATCH’s 10 th anniversary, 1999.

  • The Episcopal Bishop of New Hampshire, The Humanitarian of the Year Award (awarded to the Loan Fund President Juliana Eades), 1999.

  • Citizens Bank, Not Your Typical Statewide Partner Award, 1999.

  • Northeastern Economic Developers Association, Merit Award, given for the Loan Fund’s annual report, 1998.

  • NH Mobile Home Owners/Tenants Association (MOTA), The Levesque Memorial Award, 1998.

  • Providian Financial, Child Care Award, 1998.

  • NH Governor Jeanne Shaheen, issued a Proclamation for Community Development Financial Institutions Day on October 27, 1998, acknowledging the 15th year anniversary of the Loan Fund, 1998.

  • The Federal Home Loan Bank, Community Partnership Award, 1998.

  • The New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, Affordable Housing Award, 1995.

  • Franklin Pierce College, Doctor of Humane Letters (awarded to the Loan Fund President Juliana Eades), 1994.

  • The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation/Corporate Fund, Award for Excellence in Management, 1993.

  • University of New Hampshire, The Granite State Award (awarded to the Loan Fund President Juliana Eades), 2000.
